Terms of service
The agreement that covers using Clink — subscriptions, acceptable use, and the usual legal bits. We've tried to keep it plain-English, but it's still a contract, so give it a read.

01
Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Clink (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your access to and use of the Clink iOS application and related services (the “Service”). By downloading, installing, or using Clink, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
02
Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old to use Clink, and you must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement in the jurisdiction where you live. If you're using Clink on behalf of another entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
03
Your account
Clink works without a dedicated account — your data lives on your iPhone. Some features may rely on your Apple ID for subscription management. You are responsible for the security of your iPhone and your Apple ID, including any activity that happens through them.
04
Subscriptions and billing
Clink is free to use up to a monthly hangout quota. Clink Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple's in-app purchase system at the prices shown in the App Store at the time of purchase.
- Billing — Apple charges your Apple ID at the start of each subscription period. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Managing your subscription — you can view, change, or cancel your subscription anytime from Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
- Refunds — refunds are processed by Apple under Apple's standard refund policy.
- Price changes — if we change the price of a subscription, Apple will notify you and your consent will be sought where required by Apple's rules.
05
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Clink for any unlawful purpose or to harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app, except where applicable law expressly permits.
- Use automated tools to flood the AI parser with requests, or otherwise abuse the Service in a way that disrupts it for other users.
- Upload content (e.g., to memory notes) that infringes someone else's rights, violates law, or contains malware.
- Misrepresent your identity or attempt to evade subscription limits.
We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these rules.
06
Your content
Hangouts, notes, photos, mood ratings, and any other content you create in Clink remain yours. Because your content lives on your device, we don't claim a license to it. If a future feature allows you to share content with us (for example, opting in to share a bug report with a screenshot), you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that submitted content solely to provide and improve the Service.
07
AI parsing and accuracy
Clink uses Google Gemini to parse the natural-language sentences you submit. AI parsing may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. We show every parsed result on a confirmation screen so you can review and edit the details before they're saved. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming parsed information before relying on it.
08
Intellectual property
The Clink app, brand, logos, and visual design are owned by us and protected by applicable law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms.
09
Third-party services
Clink depends on services provided by Apple and Google. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the availability or behavior of third-party services.
10
Termination
You may stop using Clink at any time by deleting the app from your iPhone. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or if we're required to do so by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limits of liability, and dispute resolution — will survive.
11
Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI parsing will be accurate.
12
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clink and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Clink Pro in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50.
13
Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Clink and its team from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
14
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Clink is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless local consumer-protection law gives you a non-waivable right to a different forum.
15
Apple-specific terms
These Terms are between you and Clink, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. To the extent these Terms conflict with Apple's App Store Terms of Service, Apple's terms prevail with respect to the App Store distribution of the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
16
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post the updated version at this URL and update the “Last updated” date. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
